You can refer to your own constitution for targeted learning. (7) Precautions
(1) Differentiate and treat deficiency syndromes, distinguishing true from false.
(2) Strong individuals should not take tonics, and caution is advised for those with excess pathogenic factors.
(3) For those with Spleen and Stomach deficiency, it is advisable to first regulate the Spleen and Stomach, or to add Spleen-strengthening and digestive herbs to the tonic formulas, as the principle of “deficiency does not accept tonics” applies.
(4) The best time to take the medicine is on an empty stomach or before meals.
The TCM formulas for supplementation mentioned above are just a portion of the commonly used ones. Everyone is welcome to add more in the comments. In contemporary society, people are busy with work, life, and study, often neglecting their health. However, a healthy body is a prerequisite for adapting to society, so many people hope to take tonics to strengthen their bodies for better results with less effort. However, tonics are still medicines, and there is an old saying in TCM: “All medicines have some toxicity.”Therefore, tonics should not be taken indiscriminately; only by understanding their basic effects and using them rationally can they treat diseases and strengthen the body. Thus, it is best to consult a TCM hospital for targeted treatment.
