Hello, Teacher Xiao Yi, and all classmates. It has finally been a year since I practiced the second stage of Dao Yin techniques. I have been in contact with Dao Yin for over two years, and I have persisted for 665 days in the first stage.

Dao Yin has become a part of my life; the changes it has brought to my body and mind are undeniable. I previously wrote some reflections on the first stage, so I will not repeat them here, but let’s discuss the second stage.

Teacher Xiao Yi said that the second stage is about refining essence into qi, so let’s talk about qi. This concept can sometimes be difficult to describe in words, so I will share some of my feelings.Regarding the body:I feel that the practices of the second stage have made my body warmer; I no longer fear the heat in summer or the cold in winter. My hands and feet are mostly in a warm state, and sometimes my dantian (丹田, dāntián) heats up automatically, warming my hands and feet as well. Occasionally, I place my hands on my Dazhui (大椎, dàzhuī) and abdomen, and it feels very comfortable throughout my body.

A few days ago, my son ate too much watermelon and had a stomach ache. I used the self-healing method taught by the teacher, placing my hands on my son’s abdomen for about 20 minutes, and he felt better.

This fully demonstrates the miraculous nature of the teacher’s methods and indicates that sufficient qi can be transformed into energy from another perspective.

Moreover, I have not been sick in the past three years, not even a cold (excluding COVID-19 and influenza). My energy levels throughout the day are excellent.

I have also gained much more strength; I can easily carry a bucket of purified water up five flights of stairs.

My buttocks have become fuller than before. I am in my forties, and I have noticed an increase in morning erections, and my hair has grown back significantly.

My appearance is at least three years younger than my peers, and all my health indicators are normal, without any weight gain or beer belly.

Regarding sensory perception:After reaching a certain stage in the first stage, the senses of the eyes, ears, mouth, and nose become enhanced.

The second stage strengthens this further; my eyesight has improved, and I can easily see airplanes in the sky. My hearing has become more acute; I can hear someone speaking softly from ten meters away. Sometimes, when I quiet down, I can hear the sounds of insects in the grass, the wind, and raindrops. Previously, I found these sounds annoying, but now I appreciate them as the sounds of nature, the sounds of summer, which is a joy.

My taste buds have become sensitive, especially to spicy and stimulating foods, and I automatically reject greasy foods; after a few bites, I feel I can’t eat anymore. Instead, I enjoy lighter foods.

My sense of smell has become acute, especially to unpleasant odors. Sometimes I can detect the scent emanating from myself or others.

Previously, I had a customer who had a persistent scent similar to sandalwood that she could not detect herself. I tentatively asked her if she had digestive issues, and indeed she said she had been having problems with her spleen and stomach for a long time.

When I go to parks and mountains, I feel I can breathe in much more fresh air than others. The experience of sensory perception actually indicates that the qi in our bodies nourishes our five organs, which in turn enhances our sensory experiences.

How can we connect with heaven and earth, feeling the qi of nature? This is the first step, and Dao Yin is guiding us to achieve this gradually.

Regarding the mind and spirit:I feel I have become much calmer. In recent years, the economic situation has worsened, and many friends around me have become anxious. Although I also feel a bit of anxiety, I feel much calmer. I am gradually reducing my desires, letting go of many attachments. For many customers, I provide free treatments when necessary.

I give my children their own space and no longer obsess over their studies, accepting all their good and bad traits. In the family, I no longer fuss over trivial matters; doing more and taking on more responsibilities is a man’s duty. For a while, I particularly enjoyed lying on the lawn watching the clouds in the sky, observing their ever-changing forms. I find such days very refreshing and it brings me greater tranquility.

When the heart reaches a state of emptiness, I believe we are not far from the true path. I am still on the road of effort. Now, when someone asks me what practicing Dao Yin can achieve,

I can confidently tell them:To cultivate oneself, connect with heaven and earth, understand the will of heaven, and achieve the great way. This article is dedicated to all fellow practitioners of Dao Yin. Keep it up!
