Ingredients:Hawthorn (Shan Zha) 10g, Fermented Rice (Shen Qu) 10g, Radish Seeds (Lai Fu Zi) 10g, 5 dates (Da Zao), 50g of rice (Mi), 2 green onions (Cong Bai), ginger (Sheng Jiang) to taste, a pinch of salt, and monosodium glutamate.

Preparation:Boil the ingredients in water to extract the juice, strain out the residue, add rice, and cook into a thin porridge. When cooked, add green onions, minced ginger, salt, and monosodium glutamate, and boil for another minute. Take 2 doses daily, morning and evening.

Effects:Strengthens the stomach and aids digestion, suitable for the stagnation type of peptic ulcer.

02Fresh Reed Root Porridge

Ingredients:Fresh Reed Root (Lu Gen) 10g, Green Tangerine Peel (Qing Pi) 10g, 50g of japonica rice (Jing Mi), 3 slices of ginger (Sheng Jiang).

Preparation:Wash the fresh reed root, cut it into 1cm long pieces, and place it in a pot with the green tangerine peel. Add an appropriate amount of cold water, soak for 30 minutes, then boil over high heat, and simmer for 30 minutes. Remove the residue, add the washed japonica rice, and cook until the rice blooms and the porridge is thick. Add ginger 2 minutes before serving, and consume warm in portions.

Effects:Reed root clears heat and nourishes yin, green tangerine peel promotes qi and alleviates pain, ginger harmonizes the stomach and stops vomiting, and japonica rice nourishes the stomach and benefits the spleen. Effects:Soothes the liver and regulates qi, suitable for patients with stomach pain, irritability, bitter mouth, and many dreams due to spleen deficiency and liver stagnation.

04Orange Peel Porridge

Ingredients:Orange Peel (Chen Pi) 20g, Citron (Xiang Yuan) 15g, 60g of japonica rice (Jing Mi).

Preparation:First, boil the orange peel and citron for 20 minutes, strain to obtain the juice, then cook the japonica rice into porridge. When the porridge is nearly done, add the orange peel juice and cook into a thin porridge. Consume twice daily.

Effects:Orange peel is pungent and bitter, warm in nature, and has the effects of regulating qi, strengthening the spleen, and drying dampness; citron is pungent, slightly bitter, and sour, warm in nature, and can soothe the liver, regulate qi, open the chest, transform phlegm, and eliminate dampness. Suitable for symptoms of abdominal distension, belching, and poor appetite due to qi stagnation.

Ingredients:Eleutherococcus (Ci Wu Jia) 10g, Fennel (Xiao Hui Xiang) 10g, Chicken (Ji Rou) 250g, 5 red dates (Hong Zao).

Preparation:Wash the eleutherococcus, fennel, and red dates (pitted); trim the fat from the chicken and blanch it in boiling water. Drain the water. Place all ingredients in a pot, add an appropriate amount of water, bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer for 2 hours, season to taste, and drink as needed.

Effects:Eleutherococcus is pungent, slightly bitter, and slightly warm, benefiting the spleen and boosting qi. Fennel is pungent, warm, and stimulates appetite, dispersing cold. This medicinal dish is suitable for the cold type of peptic ulcer with spleen and stomach deficiency.

06Astragalus and Salvia Soup

Ingredients:Pork (lean) 250g, Astragalus (Huang Qi) 50g, Salvia (Dan Shen) 10g, 5 red dates (Hong Zao).

Preparation:Wash the astragalus, salvia, and red dates (pitted), and cut the pork into pieces. Place all ingredients in a pot, add an appropriate amount of water, bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer for 1 hour, season to taste, and drink as needed.

Preparation:Wash and cut the carrot and lamb into pieces, place them in a pot with the spices, add an appropriate amount of water, bring to a boil, then add green onions, ginger, and chili, and simmer until the lamb is tender. Season with salt, monosodium glutamate, and cooking wine, and boil for another minute.

Effects:Carrot is sweet, pungent, and warm, regulates the middle jiao, benefits the chest, harmonizes the stomach, calms the five organs, and enhances appetite. 08Dried Tangerine Peel, Apricot, and Loofah Drink
