请点击上面 FreeFollow… There are many Traditional Chinese Medicines (TCM) that activate blood circulation and resolve stasis, such as Fangfang Xueshuantong (Compound Xueshuantong), Naoshuantong (Brain Xueshuantong), Xuesaitong (Blood Stasis Tong), Naoluotong (Brain Meridian Tong), Tongxinluo (Heart Meridian Tong), and Huoxuetongmai (Activate Blood and Unblock Meridians). These names may sound like tongue twisters, but these seemingly similar medicines actually have different effects and indications, so be careful not to take the wrong one.
Although they are all TCMs for activating blood circulation and resolving stasis, their effects differ and have certain emphases. Below, Yixian Yaoshi introduces ten TCMs for activating blood circulation and resolving stasis for your learning and reference.
1. Guanyin Suhe Wan is a Qi-regulating and harmonizing medicine. Suhe Xiang (Borneol) is warm and aromatic, while Bing Pian (Menthol) is cool and aromatic, both serving as the monarch medicine. Ru Xiang (Frankincense) and Tan Xiang (Sandalwood) are warm and disperse, warming the meridians and activating blood, and are the minister medicines. Tu Mu Xiang (Aucklandia) strengthens the spleen and harmonizes the stomach, regulates Qi, resolves depression, disperses cold, and alleviates pain, serving as the assistant medicine. Together, these herbs regulate Qi, open the chest, warm the meridians, and relieve pain. It is used for chest obstruction due to cold congealing in the blood vessels, manifesting as chest pain radiating to the back, chest tightness, shortness of breath, fatigue, and cold limbs.Guanyin Suhe Wan warms and disperses cold, and is not suitable for those with heat closure syndrome. It is contraindicated for those with Yin deficiency and excess fire, as the composition of Guanyin Suhe Wan consists mainly of warm and spicy herbs. The main adverse reaction is gastrointestinal discomfort; those with gastrointestinal diseases or spleen and stomach deficiency should use it with caution.
2. Compound Xueshuantong Capsules are composed of Sanqi (Notoginseng), Huangqi (Astragalus), Danshen (Salvia miltiorrhiza), and Xuan Shen (Scrophularia), four classic medicinal materials, serving as a blood-regulating agent with the effects of activating blood, resolving stasis, benefiting Qi, and nourishing Yin. It is indicated for retinal vein occlusion with blood stasis and Qi and Yin deficiency, presenting with decreased vision or visual abnormalities, and for stable exertional angina pectoris with blood stasis and Qi and Yin deficiency. In modern medicine, it is often used to treat hyphema, macular hemorrhage, retinal vein occlusion, carotid atherosclerosis, prevent recurrence of cerebral infarction, treat dry eye syndrome, hypertension, and angina pectoris.3. Naoshuantong Capsules are composed of Pu Huang (Typha), Chi Shao (Red Peony), Yu Jin (Curcuma), Tian Ma (Gastrodia), and Lou Lu (Rhizoma Phytolaccae), and have the effects of activating blood, unblocking meridians, dispelling wind, and resolving phlegm. They are used for ischemic stroke caused by wind-phlegm and blood stasis obstruction in the meridians during the acute and recovery phases. Symptoms include hemiplegia, facial droop, speech difficulties or aphasia, numbness on one side of the body, shortness of breath, fatigue, dizziness, and tinnitus, especially in cases of cerebral infarction with the above manifestations. Naoshuantong Capsules are mainly suitable for stroke and cerebral infarction.4. Xuesaitong Capsules contain total saponins of Sanqi. They have the effects of activating blood, dispelling stasis, and unblocking meridians, inhibiting platelet aggregation and increasing cerebral blood flow. They are used for cerebral blood stasis, hemiplegia due to stroke, heart vessel stasis, and chest pain; also for sequelae of cerebrovascular diseases and angina pectoris associated with the above symptoms. They are suitable for blood stasis syndrome without obvious cold or heat.5. Tongxinluo Capsules are a blood-regulating agent composed of Ren Shen (Ginseng), Shui Zhi (Leech), Quan Xie (Scorpion), Chi Shao (Red Peony), Chan Tui (Cicada Slough), Tu Bie Chong (Earthworm), Wu Gong (Centipede), Tan Xiang (Sandalwood), Jiang Xiang (Incense), Ru Xiang (Frankincense, processed), Suan Zao Ren (Sour Jujube Seed, roasted), and Bing Pian (Borneol). In this formula, Ren Shen nourishes heart Qi as the monarch medicine. Shui Zhi and Tu Bie Chong activate blood and resolve stasis, unblocking the meridians; Quan Xie, Wu Gong, and Chan Tui are insect medicines that help the other herbs to unblock the meridians and relieve spasms, serving as minister medicines. Chi Shao activates blood and disperses stasis, relieving pain; Bing Pian is aromatic and disperses, serving as the assistant medicine. Together, these herbs benefit Qi, activate blood, unblock the meridians, and relieve pain. It is indicated for angina pectoris due to heart Qi deficiency and blood stasis obstruction, with symptoms of chest tightness, angina, palpitations, spontaneous sweating, shortness of breath, and a purple or dark tongue with stasis spots. It is also used for stroke with Qi deficiency and blood stasis obstruction, presenting with hemiplegia or numbness on one side of the body, facial droop, and speech difficulties.Note: Contraindicated in bleeding disorders, for pregnant women, during menstruation, and in cases of Yin deficiency with excess fire.6. Huoxuetongmai Tablets are composed of Ji Xue Teng (Spatholobus), Sanqi, Danshen, Chi Shao, Hong Hua (Safflower), Jiang Xiang, Yu Jin, Sanqi, Chuan Xiong (Ligusticum), Chen Pi (Tangerine Peel), Mu Xiang (Aucklandia), Shi Chang Pu (Acori Graminei), Gou Qi Zi (Goji Berry), Jiu Huang Jing (Polygonatum), and Ren Shen. In this formula, Sanqi, Huang Jing, Mai Dong (Ophiopogon), Chen Pi, Ji Xue Teng, and Danshen activate blood, regulate Qi, and relieve pain; Ren Shen, Chi Shao, Ge Gen (Pueraria), and Yu Jin benefit and activate blood to unblock the meridians; Hong Hua, Jiang Xiang, Mu Xiang, Chuan Xiong, Tao Ren (Peach Kernel), and Bing Pian activate Qi, activate blood, and relieve pain. Together, these herbs activate Qi, activate blood, unblock the meridians, and relieve pain. It is indicated for angina pectoris due to Qi stagnation and blood stasis.7. Qishen Yiqi Wan is composed of Huangqi (Astragalus), Danshen, Sanqi, and Jiang Xiang Oil. It benefits Qi, unblocks the meridians, and activates blood to relieve pain. It is indicated for chest obstruction due to Qi deficiency and blood stasis. Symptoms include chest tightness, chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, pale complexion, spontaneous sweating, a thick tongue with teeth marks, dark or purple tongue with stasis spots, and a pulse that is deep or wiry, suitable for angina pectoris due to coronary heart disease with the above symptoms.8. Yangxinshi Tablets are composed of Huangqi, Dangshen (Codonopsis), Danshen, Ge Gen, Yin Yang Huo (Epimedium), Shan Zha (Hawthorn), Di Huang (Rehmannia), Dang Gui (Angelica), Huang Lian (Coptis), Cu Yan Hu Suo (Corydalis), Ling Zhi (Reishi), Ren Shen, and Zhi Gan Cao (Honey-fried Licorice). Huangqi, Yin Yang Huo, Dangshen, Ling Zhi, Ren Shen, and Zhi Gan Cao tonify Qi and stabilize the foundation, connecting the heart and kidney; Danshen, Dang Gui, Shan Zha, and Cu Yan Hu Suo activate blood, resolve stasis, and relieve pain; Ge Gen, Di Huang, and Huang Lian nourish Yin, clear heat, calm the spirit, and nourish the heart. Together, these herbs strengthen the body, benefit Qi, activate blood, unblock the meridians, and relieve pain. It is indicated for coronary heart disease with Qi deficiency and blood stasis, angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, and combined with hyperlipidemia and hyperglycemia with the above symptoms. Yangxinshi Tablets have the characteristics of strengthening Qi, gently activating blood, and also nourishing the heart and calming the spirit, stabilizing the foundation and supporting the body.9. Xiaoshuantongluo Tablets are composed of Chuan Xiong, Danshen, Huangqi, Ze Xie (Alisma), Sanqi, Huai Hua (Sophora Flower), Gui Zhi (Cinnamon), Yu Jin, Mu Xiang, Bing Pian, and Shan Zha. They activate blood, resolve stasis, warm the meridians, and unblock the channels. They are used for stroke caused by blood stasis obstruction, with symptoms of dullness, speech difficulties, cold hands and feet, and limb pain; also for ischemic stroke and hyperlipidemia with the above symptoms.Xiaoshuantongluo Tablets may cause adverse reactions such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, rash, and itching. Contraindicated in pregnant women and those with hemorrhagic stroke. Use with caution in cases of Yin deficiency with internal heat and prominent phlegm-heat syndrome.10. Liqi Huoxue Diban is composed of Da Guo Mu Jiang Zi (Ginger), Xie Bai (Garlic), Chuan Xiong, and Ai Pian (Mugwort). In this formula, Da Guo Mu Jiang Zi activates Yang and invigorates blood as the monarch medicine; Xie Bai and Chuan Xiong unblock Yang, disperse masses, and regulate Qi and relieve stagnation, serving as minister medicines; Ai Pian opens the orifices, awakens the spirit, clears heat, and relieves pain as the assistant medicine. Overall, the formula combines spicy and bitter, using both cold and heat, which can unblock Yang and open the chest, regulate Qi, activate blood, and relieve pain. It is particularly effective for angina pectoris due to heart Yang deficiency and blood stasis obstruction.
