Effectiveness in Treating Cancer: Dried Ginger is a commonly used herb for warming the middle and restoring yang. The “Shennong Bencao Jing” states: “Expels wind and dampness, alleviates diarrhea.” The “Bencao Qiuzhen” states: “Therefore, for those suffering from internal cold, with stubborn blockages in the viscera, joint obstruction, meridian blockage, cold pain, and reverse stomach, … it is essential to use this for rescue from cold.” Clinically, it is often used to treat digestive system tumors, such as tail pancreatic cancer, in cases of spleen and stomach deficiency and cold phlegm stagnation.
For treating digestive system tumors: Ginseng (cooked separately) 6 grams, Dried Ginger 5 grams, Honey-fried Licorice 6 grams, Bai Zhu (White Atractylodes) 9 grams. For treating tail pancreatic cancer: Chuan Jiao (Zanthoxylum) and Dried Ginger each 10 grams, Dang Shen (Codonopsis) 15 grams, Bai Zhu 10 grams, Bai Shao (White Peony) 15 grams, Fu Ling (Poria) and Zhu Ling (Polyporus) each 10 grams, Bai He (Lily) 30 grams, Huo Xiang (Agastache) and Pei Lan (Eupatorium) each 10 grams, Bai Hua She She Cao (Hedyotis) 30 grams.
