1. What is Anemia?
1. The human peripheral blood does not contain a sufficient amount of red blood cells.
2. Insufficient red blood cells cannot adequately supply oxygen to tissues and organs.
3. Common symptoms include fatigue, easy exhaustion, dizziness, etc.
4. Treatment based on different causes is key.
2. What is Blood Deficiency?
“Blood Deficiency” is a concept from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), referring to the deficiency of blood, leading to malnourishment of the organs, meridians, and body, with common symptoms including dizziness, palpitations, insomnia, forgetfulness, easy fatigue, dry hair, sensitivity to cold, and reduced or delayed menstruation in women. Additionally, blood deficiency can cause organ dysfunction and issues such as blood not carrying Qi.
Note: Blood deficiency ≠ anemia; a person with blood deficiency is not necessarily anemic, but a person with anemia will definitely have blood deficiency.
3. So, how can one determine if a person has blood deficiency? If blood deficiency is present, what should be noted? How to nourish?
