People with poor liver health
Have poor facial color
Zhai Shuangqing
Professor, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine
People with poor liver health may have a greenish or dark complexion.
Greenish complexion:
The liver is the organ that stores blood and regulates blood flow. When the liver is damaged, it can lead to oxygen deficiency or blood stasis, resulting in poor circulation and ineffective detoxification, causing the skin to appear greenish or purplish.
Dark complexion:
Poor liver health may also lead to toxin accumulation in the body, causing the facial skin to gradually darken, resulting in a dull, dark complexion without luster.
Liver-nourishing tea: Jujube, Poria, and Yam Tea
Take 10 grams each of jujube (Da Zao), Poria (Fu Ling), and yam (Shan Yao), and brew with boiling water or cook in a health pot for 15 minutes.
