Dang Gui (Angelica Sinensis) and Red Date Pork Ribs
Function: Moisturizes Yin and nourishes blood.
Ingredients: Pork ribs, red dates, Dang Gui (Angelica Sinensis), goji berries, Dang Shen (Codonopsis), ginger slices, cooking wine.
Method:
1. Soak the pork ribs for half an hour to remove blood, rinse clean, add ginger slices, and blanch in cooking wine to clean and set aside;
2. Add all ingredients, pour in enough water at once, bring to a boil over high heat, add a little cooking wine, then reduce to low heat and simmer for 1.5-2 hours until the pork ribs are tender;
3. Sprinkle goji berries and simmer for another 10 minutes, then season with salt.
Carrot and Beef Soup
Function: Benefits Qi and blood,improves eyesight.
Ingredients: Beef brisket, potatoes, carrots, ginger slices, rice wine, sesame oil.
Method:
1. Clean and cut the potatoes and carrots into chunks, set aside.
2. Clean the beef brisket, blanch to remove blood foam, and rinse clean, set aside.
3. In a pot, heat sesame oil, add ginger slices to sauté until fragrant, then stir-fry the beef brisket until golden.
4. In a cooking pot, add the beef brisket, a small amount of rice wine, and enough water to cover the beef, bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat and simmer for 30-60 minutes.
5. Add the potatoes and carrots, bring to a boil again, then simmer until the beef is tender, and season with salt.
Yam and Pumpkin Porridge
Function: Strengthens the spleen and tonifies Qi.
Ingredients: Pumpkin, yam, broth, rice.
Method:
1. Peel and cut the pumpkin into chunks, steam until cooked, set aside. Peel and cut the yam into chunks, set aside;
2. Rinse the rice, add water and broth, bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to low heat and cook until soft and porridge-like;
3. Add the pumpkin and yam, bring to a boil, then simmer for 15-20 minutes, and season with salt.
Double Red Pumpkin Soup
Function: Benefits Qi and nourishes blood.
Ingredients: Pumpkin, red dates, brown sugar.
Method:
1. Peel and deseed the pumpkin, cut into chunks, set aside;
2. Remove the pits from the red dates, cut into small pieces, and place the red dates, pumpkin, and brown sugar into a pot with water;
3. Simmer over low heat until the pumpkin is soft.
Huang Qi (Astragalus) Stewed Sea Bass
Function: Strengthens the spleen and nourishes blood.
Ingredients: Sea bass, Huang Qi (Astragalus), red dates, ginger.
Method:
1. Clean the sea bass, remove the internal organs, and rinse all ingredients, set aside;
2. Heat a pot with oil, pan-fry the sea bass until golden on both sides, then add water to boil;
3. Add Huang Qi, red dates, and ginger, boil on high for 10 minutes, then simmer on low for 15-20 minutes, and season with a little salt.
Red Date and Longan Porridge
Function: Tonifies Qi and nourishes blood.
Ingredients: Longan, red dates, red beans.
Method:
1. Rinse the red beans and soak overnight, set aside;
2. Shell the dried longan, set aside. In a pot, add red beans and red dates with water;
3. Bring to a boil, add the longan meat, bring to a boil again, then reduce to low heat and simmer for 60 minutes.
Chestnut Braised Chicken
Function: Strengthens the spleen and benefits Qi.
Ingredients: Chicken, chestnuts, green onions, ginger slices, cooking wine, sugar, broth.
Method:
1. Clean the chicken, cut into large pieces, blanch to remove foam, rinse clean, set aside, peel the chestnuts, rinse clean, set aside;
2. In a pot, heat oil, add ginger slices and green onions to sauté until fragrant, then stir-fry the chicken pieces until golden;
3. Add broth, cooking wine, salt, and soy sauce to season, bring to a boil, then simmer for 30 minutes, add chestnuts;
4. Cook the chicken until fully cooked, reduce the sauce over high heat, add a little sugar for flavor, thicken with water starch, and serve.
The above dietary therapies can be taken as needed, 1-2 times a week is recommended, except in special circumstances.
