Those who know how to preserve health can avoid illness, reduce the frequency of illness, and delay the onset of disease. What is health preservation? It is essentially about cultivating a correct lifestyle. Health preservation is about finding ways to ensure one’s survival and quality of life; it is a very ordinary yet essential aspect of life.
Bo Yi Tang’s health preservation culture was established in 2008, and since then, we have been reshaping the concept of health preservation for everyone. We explain what health preservation means: health preservation is about correcting mistakes. What mistakes? It involves changing incorrect behavioral habits in life, altering one’s character, and improving interpersonal relationships. It is about correcting errors in daily life.
When a person falls ill, it is often due to their own actions; it is self-inflicted suffering. Illness does not come from nowhere; it is caused by one’s own habits. Health preservation is not as simple as taking health supplements; supplements are merely auxiliary tools for health preservation. It is said that treatment accounts for 30% and health preservation for 70%, so the effectiveness of health supplements only accounts for a small part.
For example, many people take Vitamin C, which helps prevent scurvy and has antioxidant properties. Oxidation is associated with aging, and Vitamin C promotes antibody production and enhances disease resistance. The National Nutrition Society recommends a daily intake of 200mg of Vitamin C to help prevent chronic diseases, which are often lifestyle-related, such as diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. While Vitamin C is necessary for the body, simply taking a couple of Vitamin C tablets does not equate to health preservation.
While discussing the benefits of Vitamin C, we must remember that it comes from the fruits and vegetables we eat, which are rich in Vitamin C. So why does the government approve Vitamin C supplements? They are primarily for those who do not absorb nutrients well, have poor intestinal function, or experience digestive issues after consuming fruits. These nutritional supplements serve as auxiliary support.
Health preservation is about cultivating a correct lifestyle, which includes guidance on how much and what types of fruits to eat daily. Since many diseases originate from improper diets, eating correctly can cut off the source of illness. Additionally, maintaining a positive mindset is crucial; we often say that diseases arise from the mind. Unpleasant emotions can lead to physical ailments, such as anger causing nodules or breast hyperplasia.
Health preservation is about correcting all the wrong practices to prevent unnecessary illnesses. It is impossible for a person to go through life without illness; from birth, we are afflicted with an incurable condition called aging. However, as we age, the deterioration of our organs and functions becomes more pronounced, leading to various diseases. Health preservation can help reduce the incidence of illness as we age, preventing multiple diseases and delaying conditions like arteriosclerosis by ten years. We should aim to delay the onset of arteriosclerosis until we are 80, not 70.
So, what is health preservation? It is a beneficial practice for oneself, necessary for everyone regardless of age. Health preservation involves doing the right things, aligning with nature, society, and harmony, and correcting wrong practices. It is a process of correcting mistakes to prevent oneself from falling ill.
