1. Overeating Five Flavors
Eating too much of anything you like is not good. Especially, consuming excessive amounts of rich, fatty, and spicy foods can disrupt the normal rhythm of digestion, leading to thick blood, causing Qi to follow the blood flow, and subsequently resulting in Qi stagnation.
2. Coldness
Cold causes stagnation; a state of stagnation is a form of blockage. This cold can be divided into two parts: one from the external environment and the other from the internal environment. When the weather is cold, it is essential to dress warmly. If your living space is cold, use a hot water bottle to warm your feet. If you have air conditioning, turn it on and blow warm air; it is better than nothing.Do not tolerate the cold; address it and do not endure.
Internally, the cold must also be warmed up. Consume warming foods, soak your feet in hot water, and maintain a suitable exercise routine. All these can help to promote Yang Qi and facilitate the movement of Qi.
3. Poor Mood
When in a good mood, a person is relaxed and open, but being too relaxed can lead to a lack of focus, depleting Qi and causing it to become scattered, yet the person feels quite free-flowing.
Many workaholics maintain good health because they engage in work they enjoy and find fulfilling. Even when tired or facing challenges, they embrace these as enjoyable experiences, keeping their Qi flowing smoothly. Taking a shower, eating well, and getting enough sleep can rejuvenate them.
However, any slight unhappiness can lead to Qi stagnation.Additionally, difficulties in the thought process, excessive worrying, or not finding solutions can also cause Qi stagnation.Unfulfilled desires and excessive unfulfilled wishes can lead to severe Qi stagnation.
Stagnation means to stay still. It is a state where one should be continuously moving forward but is instead stuck in the present moment.
