In the fast-paced modern life, more and more people are experiencing health issues such as palpitations, insomnia with vivid dreams, and low immunity due to work stress and irregular lifestyles. These are all manifestations of insufficient Yang Qi. In the pursuit of health and wellness today, to effectively regulate the Yin and Yang of the organs and enhance the body’s ability to resist external pathogens, the unique TCM care technique—Warming Yang Cupping has emerged.
Warming Yang Cupping Therapy
1. Cover the Shenque (CV8) acupuncture point with a medicinal cake.
2. Place a fire bowl on the medicinal cake and ignite the alcohol inside.
3. Move the Warming Yang Cupping device in a clockwise circle above the fire bowl for 10 seconds.
4. Once the alcohol in the fire bowl has burned out, a negative pressure will form inside the cup, allowing it to adhere to the skin.
5. Ignite a smokeless moxa stick on top of the cup to generate heat, achieving the warming Yang effect.
The Warming Yang Cupping combines the expulsion of cold and the replenishment of heat, addressing the shortcomings of traditional cupping, which can only expel cold, and traditional moxibustion, which can only replenish heat.
The Warming Yang Cupping integrates fire cupping, moxibustion, and herbal hot compresses, primarily through the combined effects of thermal stimulation of acupuncture points and the negative pressure heat of the cup. It has the effects of warming the original Yang, dispelling cold and transforming dampness, promoting circulation, and strengthening the spleen to eliminate dampness, making it suitable for the regulation of Yang deficiency, cold body constitution, heavy dampness and obesity, and menstrual irregularities.
