5. Fluid Deficiency Constipation
This type of constipation is common among individuals with a Yin deficiency constitution, such as the elderly or postpartum women. As the condition progresses, the volume of bowel movements decreases, and abdominal pain may begin to occur. Additionally, some patients may experience dry mouth, hot palms and soles, and insomnia. For this, it is advisable to take 润肠丸 (Laxative Pills) or 芦荟丸 (Aloe Pills) to nourish Yin and replenish blood.
