Disease Inquiry, Health Guidance, Classic Health Preservation, No Need to Seek Help When SickEveryone’s body constitution is different, and the diseases they suffer from are also varied. Therefore, we must flexibly choose conditioning plans for ourselves and our families based on different situations. Remember, no single method is better or more effective than another; only what feels suitable for you personally is the best.01Gentle Abdominal Massage – Awakening the Powerful Self-Healing Ability of the Five Organs【Method】When massaging the abdomen, treat your abdomen as if it were a small baby, using a slow speed and very light pressure, as if you are afraid of hurting the delicate skin of a child. It should feel like your palm is just barely touching the skin of the abdomen. Many people massage their abdomen mechanically, as if completing a task, which often yields little effect. If we gently rub our abdomen as we would treat a child, this method infused with love will be particularly effective; everyone can give it a try.【Effect】The effects of abdominal massage are numerous, with the most important being the awakening of the self-healing functions of the organs. From a holographic perspective, the abdomen can reflect the entire body, and abdominal massage can be considered a form of overall conditioning.▲ Before bed and after waking, place your palm on the skin of the abdomen, using the navel as a center point, moving up to the xiphoid process and down to the pubic symphysis, massaging the abdomen in a clockwise direction for 81 circles, then counterclockwise for 81 circles. Additionally, there are twelve “Mu Points” located in the chest and abdomen, which are specific points where the qi of the organs gathers. Similar to the “Shu Points” on the back, stimulating the Mu Points can also help regulate the organs. 02Regular Hand Grasping – Nourishing the Liver and Strengthening the Tendons【Method】Relax your shoulders and elbows naturally, open your fingers, and alternate between making a fist and stretching out, at a frequency of 90-120 times per minute. When starting this practice, do not overdo it; stop when appropriate. With daily persistence, the number of grasping and stretching will naturally increase until you reach thousands of repetitions at a time.
【Effect】The fingertips correspond to six meridians of the upper limbs—Heart Meridian, Small Intestine Meridian, Pericardium Meridian, Triple Warmer Meridian, Lung Meridian, and Large Intestine Meridian. Through rapid grasping and stretching exercises, these acupoints can be stimulated, which has excellent health benefits for the organ functions. The “Huangdi Neijing: Treatise on the Correspondence of Yin and Yang” states: “The liver’s movement is grasping,” so the flexing and extending actions can also nourish the liver and strengthen the tendons, alleviating emotions and relaxing the body, achieving multiple benefits.Additionally, similar actions can be performed with the toes. When tired at work or before sleeping, lie in bed and flex and stretch your toes; in a short while, you will feel warmth in your calves and feet, which is also a good method for nourishing the liver and strengthening the tendons. 03Regular Calf Kneading – Slowing Aging, Walking with Energy and Preventing Cramps【Method】Starting below the knee joint, use your hands to knead the calf muscles thoroughly, focusing on areas that are stiff or sore, kneading them several times until they gradually soften over a few days.
【Effect】Many people’s calf muscles are stiff, and there are many painful points, indicating that the flow of qi and blood in the calves is not smooth. Why do people’s legs age first? Middle-aged and elderly individuals are prone to calf cramps, and simply supplementing calcium is not very effective? The root cause is that the Spleen Meridian, Liver Meridian, and Kidney Meridian running through the calves are blocked, and the functions of the Spleen, Liver, and Kidney are somewhat weak. By softening the calves through kneading, they will become flexible and strong, making walking light and easy. If you persist, you will find that your appetite improves, sleep gets better, and you feel particularly energetic every day.Additionally, according to holographic theory, if we view the calves as the entire body, the “Chengshan Point” of the Bladder Meridian located in the center of the back of the calves corresponds to the lower back pain point, as it relates to the middle area of the back of the body. Pressing this point can relieve lower back soreness, pain, and weakness. Similarly, flexible and strong calves also represent the entire body’s flexibility and strength.
▲ Pressing the Chengshan Point can relieve symptoms such as lower back soreness, pain, and weakness. 04Regular Ear Rubbing – Nourishing the Kidneys and Brain, Enhancing Hearing and Vision【Method】Using the sides of your thumbs and index fingers, rub the ears from top to bottom until they feel warm. Additionally, when rubbing the ears, focus on any painful points, and remember that you are performing health care for your entire body (the ears are a holographic reflex zone).【Effect】The “Huangdi Neijing: Treatise on the Correspondence of Yin and Yang” states: “The kidneys manifest in the ears.” For example, bilateral tinnitus is a manifestation of kidney deficiency; regularly rubbing both ears can improve the symptoms of tinnitus. Furthermore, the “Huangdi Neijing: Treatise on the Golden Casket” states: “The heart opens to the ears.” Regularly massaging the ears can enhance heart function and prevent cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
▲ Rubbing the ears not only strengthens the five internal organs but also has particular health benefits for the heart and kidneys. 05Regular Anal Contraction – Enhancing Reproductive System Function【Method】Inhale slowly while contracting the anus, lifting it along with the perineum (similar to the state of holding in a bowel movement), hold for 10 seconds, then exhale while gently relaxing. Repeat for 5 minutes, aiming for a warm sensation in the lower abdomen, three times a day.【Effect】Anal contraction, known in ancient times as “cuo gu dao,” can be performed anytime and anywhere, without restrictions on time, place, or environment; it can be done while squatting, standing, sitting, or lying down. “Cuo gu dao” is a health-preserving technique passed down from ancient times. The “gu dao” refers to the anus, which was historically referred to as the “path for the remnants of the five grains,” and “cuo” means to contract and lift the anus.“Cuo gu dao” is akin to giving a massage to the pelvic cavity; this health-preserving method not only exercises the pelvic muscles but can also prevent and treat conditions such as hemorrhoids, anal fissures, prolapse, and constipation. Additionally, consistently practicing “cuo gu dao” has excellent preventive and therapeutic effects for male reproductive system disorders such as prostatitis, prostate enlargement, impotence, and premature ejaculation, as well as female reproductive system issues like pelvic inflammation, menstrual irregularities, abnormal vaginal discharge, and frigidity. These five simple movements are very convenient for lazy individuals to perform and represent a holistic approach to body conditioning. Furthermore, do not always think that when the body is ill, there are medications and famous doctors to save you. Your body is your own; treat it as you would a child, and do not hand over the care of this “child” to others.
