Fire Needle treatment
Shingles
Is shingles pain unbearable?!
Small fire needle has great effects Let’s see how it can eliminate shingles ↓ Chen, a second-year graduate student, developed several clusters of bumps the size of millet to soybeans on the right side of his waist after working hard in the countryside, which quickly turned into blisters and gradually became unbearable pain. After being introduced by a friend, he came to our Traditional Specialty Treatment Center, where Dr. Zheng Minqin, Deputy Chief Physician, treated him. After a careful examination, Dr. Zheng found that Chen’s shingles were caused by a decline in his physical constitution. He then used the fire needle treatment, quickly puncturing the skin with a heated fire needle at the affected area, followed by surrounding acupuncture with needles left in place, and electroacupuncture stimulation. After the treatment, he advised Chen to maintain a light diet and avoid stimulating foods.
After one treatment course, Chen couldn’t stop praising: “The scabs from the shingles healed quickly, and the pain was much less; the effect of the fire needle is truly ‘immediate’!”
Symptoms of Shingles
When the body is infected with the shingles (commonly known as “candy snake”) virus, if the immune system is strong, the virus will remain dormant without showing symptoms.
If the body’s resistance is low, the virus will grow and reproduce, causing skin blisters, usually occurring on one side of the body and often following the distribution of nerves, accompanied by severe pain.
At-Risk Populations
▶ The older you are, the more likely you are to get the disease, especially those over 50 years old.
▶ People with chronic diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular diseases have a higher risk of developing shingles compared to those with normal constitutions.
▶ Individuals with weakened immune systems, such as those with autoimmune diseases (e.g., HIV/AIDS), those using immunosuppressive drugs, and cancer patients.
Preventive Measures
For shingles, early prevention and intervention are essential:
★ Enhance immunity
Ensure adequate sleep, balanced nutrition, moderate exercise, maintain a positive mood, and enhance or activate immune cells.
☆ Vaccination
Vaccination against shingles is currently an effective preventive measure.
Fire Needle Demonstrates Acupuncture Techniques
Shingles is also known as “snake string sore” in TCM. The Huangdi Neijing states: “When yin is balanced and yang is secret, the spirit can be treated; when the righteous qi is preserved within, evil cannot invade.” Dr. Zheng Minqin, Deputy Chief Physician, diagnoses and seeks the cause, using fire needle as the main treatment, along with surrounding acupuncture and bloodletting as auxiliary treatments, to strengthen the righteous qi and expel evil, promoting the repair of the affected area.
Fire Needle is a treatment method where the needle body of a fine needle is heated until red, and then it is used to burn points along the meridians or directly puncture acupoints. It stimulates acupoints, harmonizes yin and yang, warms the meridians, eliminates inflammation, and accelerates local microcirculation, making it highly effective for shingles.
