It is a natural gift,

In Jilin,

but also a precious food ingredient that shares the same source as medicine.
It shines brightly.

resulting in a rich flavor that tonifies Qi.
Since young people joined the “health maintenance community”,

Adhering to traditional craftsmanship,

ginseng achieves full plant utilization,
from planting, deep processing to sales.
More and more lightweight products,
and a complete and mature industrial chain,
are pushing ginseng into a broader market,
becoming the golden representative of “new Chinese-style” health maintenance.
In our history,
ginseng can be divided into two main production areas:
the Central Plains represented by Shangdang County,
and the Northeast represented by Liaodong.
The best ginseng comes from the Changbai Mountain area,
known as Changbai Mountain Ginseng.
Changbai Mountain,
one of the largest dormant volcanoes in our country,
is home to wild ginseng that has grown here for generations.
Over the years of searching for wild ginseng,
Changbai Mountain has gradually formed unique ginseng harvesting customs,
which have evolved into mountain rules, passed down through generations.
Customs must be followed, and mountain rules must be adhered to.
In the Changbai Mountain area, especially in Fusong County,
the practice of “mountain release” is prevalent,
which involves entering the mountains to search for and harvest wild ginseng.
Harvesters also choose auspicious days to enter the mountains.
This custom encompasses folk beliefs, environmental awareness,
and profoundly influences the local populace.
In 2008,
the ginseng harvesting customs of Changbai Mountain were included in the national intangible cultural heritage list.
The world looks to China for ginseng,
and China looks to Jilin for ginseng.
According to the book “Taiping Yulan”,
as early as the mid-3rd century AD,
people in the Changbai Mountain area had begun to harvest ginseng.
Ginseng embodies the spirit and vitality of this land,
not only infused in a medicinal herb, a cup of tea, or a bowl of soup,
but also injecting vitality into the local economy.
The history of ginseng cultivation in Tonghua spans hundreds of years,
with mountainous areas accounting for more than two-thirds.
The sunshine, soil, and climate perfectly meet the growth needs of ginseng,
resulting in ginseng that is long, with long legs and roots,
with deep wrinkles and high saponin content,
of superior quality and renowned nationwide.
Fusong, located in the southeastern part of Jilin Province,
is rich in natural resources,
with excellent climate and soil conditions
that are conducive to ginseng growth and saponin formation.
Ginseng cultivation includes forest ginseng, mountain ginseng, and garden ginseng.
