Soothe the Liver and Nourish Qi
Don’t forget to drink Dang Shen (Codonopsis) and Rose Tea
The liver, associated with the wood element, resembles trees that thrive in spring, easily generating Yang Qi. The liver and gallbladder are interconnected; the Yang Qi of the liver must utilize the gallbladder meridian to be released outward, dispelling external cold.If the liver and gallbladder meridians are obstructed, and the flow of Qi and blood is hindered, symptoms of heat stagnation may arise: such as irritability, dry mouth, bitter taste, dizziness, headaches, menstrual pain in women, and breast tenderness. These are all issues related to the circulation of the liver and gallbladder meridians. Therefore, before illness occurs, we should take advantage of early spring to nourish the liver. Today, I recommend a very seasonal cup of Dang Shen and Rose Tea.Ingredients: 10g Dang Shen, 3g Rose.
- Dang Shen is neutral in nature, sweet in flavor, and enters the spleen and lung meridians, capable of nourishing Qi, strengthening the spleen, and benefiting the lungs.
- Rose is warm in nature, sweet and slightly bitter in flavor, and enters the liver and spleen meridians, capable of soothing the liver, relieving depression, regulating Qi, and invigorating blood circulation.
When combined, they effectively soothe the liver, regulate Qi, strengthen the spleen, and nourish Qi.【Preparation】Place the above ingredients in a tea bowl, add boiling water, cover, and steep for 3-5 minutes.【Suitable for】Those with liver Qi stagnation and spleen Qi deficiency. Common symptoms include emotional depression, frequent sighing, chest fullness, rib pain, poor appetite, acid reflux, and fatigue.
