Column | Easy Cupping: A Convenient Cupping Method

Based on the principles of fire cupping, the Easy Cupping device is made from silicone rubber, allowing it to be easily attached to the skin on various parts of the body, including limbs and joints. It alleviates pain by pulling and moving to release the fascia or meridian lesions beneath the skin, combining traditional cupping with modern rehabilitation techniques. Currently, under the innovative research of Professor Zhong Shiyuan, the application of Easy Cupping is gradually expanding, commonly seen in daily health care and treatment, even in training, such as in conjunction with health exercises, yoga, running, and swimming.

Precautions

1. Choose an appropriate Easy Cupping device based on the size of the area being treated.

2. For first-time use, limit to 1 minute, gradually increasing the time based on the patient’s condition, but do not exceed 5 minutes on a single area. After suction, inquire about the patient’s feelings; if the suction is too strong, immediately adjust the suction or switch to a smaller device.

3. During stretching treatment, movements should be slow and gradual, avoiding causing pain to the patient. When using lubricant for cupping on the face, take care to prevent it from entering the eyes. Facial treatments should be done once every 2-3 days, while other areas can be treated every other day.

4. Avoid using Easy Cupping on areas with skin allergies, wounds, on the abdomen of pregnant women or those with IUDs, and on areas with large metal foreign bodies or pacemakers.

5. Clean the device with 75% alcohol or disinfecting wipes before use.
