Baibai San (Eight Whites Powder)
【Formula】Bai Ji (White Bletilla), Bai Ding Xiang (White Clove), Bai Jiang Can (White Silkworm), Bai Chou (White Wormwood), Du Jiao Li (Thorny Jujube), Xin Sheng Ma (New Rhizome of Cimicifuga) each 90 grams, Shan Nai Zi (Mountain Nutmeg), Bai Lian (White Vine), Bai Zhi (White Atractylodes) each 60 grams, Bai Fu Ling (White Poria), Bai Fu Zi (White Aconite) each 15 grams.【Preparation】Grind the above herbs into the finest powder and set aside.【Indications】Harmonizes Qi and Blood, whitens skin, dispels wind and resolves stasis. Yu Rong San I (Jade Face Powder I)
【Formula】Gan Song 15 grams, Tian Hua Fen, Green Bean each 30 grams, Zao Jiao 6 grams.【Preparation】Grind the above herbs into fine powder, mix, and sieve to obtain.【Indications】Cleanses skin and removes dirt. Used for chloasma.【Dosage】The patient lies on the bed, the practitioner stands at the patient’s head, takes 5 grams of Yu Rong San I, adds 30 ml of boiling water, and after 3 minutes, uses gauze to dab the medicinal liquid on the skin for 5 minutes. Then steam spray, apply massage cream, and finally can apply Qi Bai Gao (Seven Whites Paste) face mask.
Yu Rong San II (Jade Face Powder II)
【Formula】Green Bean Powder 90 grams, Bai Ju Hua (White Chrysanthemum), Bai Fu Zi (White Aconite), Bai Zhi (White Atractylodes) each 30 grams, Shi Yan (Salt) 15 grams, Zao Jiao 20 grams, Bing Pian (Borneol) 1.5 grams.【Preparation】Grind the above herbs into fine powder, mix, and sieve to obtain.【Indications】Dispels wind and resolves dampness, reduces spots and moisturizes skin. Used for flat warts, chloasma, and common acne.【Dosage】Mix with clean water and apply to the affected area, used instead of soap for washing the face, and wash off after 10 minutes.
Xiao Ban Fu Qi San (Spot Removal Navel Powder)
【Formula】Ru Xiang (Frankincense), Mo Yao (Myrrh), Chuan Shan Jia (Pangolin), Ge Gen (Pueraria), Shan Zha (Hawthorn), Hou Po (Magnolia Bark) each 100 grams, Gui Zhi (Cinnamon Twig), Gan Cao (Licorice) each 30 grams, Bai Shao (White Peony) 50 grams, Xi Xin (Asarum), Bing Pian each 15 grams.【Preparation】Boil Shan Zha, Ge Gen, Bai Shao, and Gan Cao in water twice, concentrate into a paste, grind Chuan Shan Jia, Hou Po, and Gui Zhi into fine powder; dissolve Ru Xiang and Mo Yao in 70% ethanol to remove insoluble components. Mix the three, dry and grind finely; extract volatile oil from Xi Xin and Ji Xue Teng (Spatholobus) and add Bing Pian, mix into the above fine powder to obtain.【Indications】Activates blood circulation and dispels wind, reduces spots. Used for facial pigmentation in women.【Dosage】Take 0.2 grams of the powder and apply to the navel, secure with adhesive tape, change the dressing once every 3 days, and continue for several applications.
