Today, Director Zhou Lankun of the Gastroenterology Department at Xingtai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital introduces us to 金银花 (Jin Yin Hua), also known as Honeysuckle. The name comes from the fact that the flowers start as white and turn yellow, resembling gold and silver. Since ancient times, it has been praised as an excellent medicine for clearing heat and detoxifying. It is sweet and cold in nature, aromatic, and clears heat without harming the stomach, while its fragrance helps to dispel evil. It can both disperse wind-heat and effectively clear blood toxins, making it suitable for various febrile diseases such as fever, rashes, heat toxins, and sore throat.

【做法】Fresh 金银花 (Jin Yin Hua) is washed and blanched; after squeezing out the water, it is mixed with the egg liquid; heat oil in a pan, pour in the egg mixture and 金银花 (Jin Yin Hua) and stir-fry, adding a little water if necessary, then serve.

【材料】金银花 (Jin Yin Hua) 50g,莲子 (Lotus Seeds) 30g,枸杞 (Goji Berries) 10g,冰糖 (Rock Sugar) to taste。

【做法】Wash the 金银花 (Jin Yin Hua) and lotus seeds, place them in a clay pot. Soak the goji berries in hot water for 10 minutes until the water turns slightly yellow and red, then add to the clay pot. Add an appropriate amount of water and rock sugar, bring to a boil, then simmer on low heat for about 1 hour until the soup thickens, and it is ready to serve!

【材料】鸽子 (Pigeon)、金银花 (Jin Yin Hua)、猪肉 (Pork)、香菇 (Shiitake Mushrooms)、笋干 (Dried Bamboo Shoots)、枸杞子 (Goji Berries)。

【做法】Clean the pigeon and blanch it in boiling water to remove impurities and some of the fishy smell. Clean and cut the lean meat into pieces and blanch it as well. Soak the shiitake mushrooms and dried bamboo shoots. Transfer the pigeon to a pressure cooker, add ginger slices, shiitake mushrooms, and dried bamboo shoots, pour in cooking wine, and add the lean meat. Start on high heat until the pressure cooker makes a hissing sound, then reduce to medium heat and cook for 15 minutes. Transfer to a ceramic pot, add 金银花 (Jin Yin Hua) and goji berries, and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes. Finally, add salt to taste.
