Clinically, Lian Qiao is often used to treat diseases caused by external wind-heat, effectively alleviating symptoms such as headache, fever, cough, and sore throat. Ingredients: Lian Qiao 5g + Niu Bang Gen (Burdock Root) 8g
Effects: Niu Bang Gen disperses wind-heat and alleviates itching, while Lian Qiao also disperses wind-heat and clears heat and detoxifies. Therefore, their combined use has a good effect in clearing heat and detoxifying, and dispersing wind and rashes, effective for conditions like wind rash, measles, and urticaria.

Lian Qiao and Jin Yin Hua (Honeysuckle) Tea
Ingredients: Lian Qiao 5g + Jin Yin Hua 3g
Effects: Jin Yin Hua has the effects of clearing heat and detoxifying, dispersing wind-heat, cooling the blood, and relieving summer heat. Lian Qiao is cold and bitter, with functions of clearing heat and detoxifying, reducing swelling, and dispersing wind-heat. The combination of Lian Qiao and Jin Yin Hua has the effects of clearing heat and detoxifying, and can be used for clearing heat and purging fire, as well as for wind-heat conditions.

Lian Qiao and Chi Dou (Red Bean) Tea
Ingredients: Lian Qiao 5g + Chi Dou 4g
Effects: Lian Qiao and Chi Dou tea has the effects of disseminating lung Qi and relieving asthma, clearing heat and detoxifying, and promoting urination and reducing swelling. It is used to treat cough with phlegm due to lung heat, asthma, chest tightness, and difficulty breathing, and can also be used for bronchitis, asthma, emphysema, body edema, and difficulty urinating.

Lian Qiao and Zhi Zi (Gardenia) Tea
Ingredients: Lian Qiao 5g + Zhi Zi 3g
Effects: Lian Qiao is light and floating, excelling at clearing the heart and purging fire, while Zhi Zi can clear the heart, lung, and San Jiao fire and promote urination. Together, they can clear the heart, relieve irritability, cool the blood, and detoxify, suitable for conditions like high fever, delirium, mouth sores, red and painful urination, and damp-heat jaundice.

Lian Qiao and Ju Hua (Chrysanthemum) Tea
Ingredients: Lian Qiao 5g + Ju Hua 3g
Effects: Ju Hua is sweet and bitter, slightly cold, entering the lung and liver meridians, with primary effects of dispersing wind-heat, calming the liver, brightening the eyes, and clearing heat and detoxifying. Lian Qiao has the effects of reducing swelling and dispersing masses, and clearing heat and detoxifying. The combination is suitable for wind-heat or lung-heat type sinusitis, commonly seen in patients with fever, chills, headache, chest tightness, or cough with yellow phlegm and a red tongue with yellow coating.
