1. A pale tongue indicates insufficient heart blood.
2. A red tongue indicates excess heart fire.
3. Blue veins under the tongue indicate body stagnation.

1. Dry eyes indicate insufficient liver blood.
2. Watery eyes indicate liver qi stagnation.
3. Red and dry eyes indicate excessive liver fire.
3. Spleen Corresponds to the Mouth
1. Pale lips indicate spleen and stomach deficiency.
2. Acid reflux in the mouth indicates disharmony of the spleen and stomach.
3. Bitter taste and bad breath indicate excessive stomach fire.
4. Lungs Correspond to the Nose
1. A red nose indicates lung heat.
2. Nosebleeds indicate insufficient lung yin.
3. Poor sense of smell indicates obstructed lung qi.
5. Kidneys Correspond to the Ears
1. Pale ears indicate insufficient kidney qi.
2. Small and thin ears indicate kidney qi deficiency.
3. Dark ears indicate insufficient yang qi.
