【Clinical Applications】
1. Common cold due to external wind-heat and internal accumulation of fire, presenting with high fever, slight aversion to wind and cold, headache, sore throat, dry mouth, red tongue, and floating rapid pulse.
2. Mumps caused by external epidemic toxins, presenting with burning swelling and pain in the cheeks, fever, irritability, red tongue, and rapid pulse; epidemic mumps with the above symptoms.
3. Summer heat syndrome due to exposure to summer heat toxins, presenting with high fever, headache, irritability, vomiting, thirst, red tongue, and rapid pulse; mild to moderate type B encephalitis with the above symptoms.
