Comprehensive Formulas for Lung Abscess, Tuberculosis, Headache, and Voice Loss
Lung Abscess
1. Donggua Ziren Decoction (Winter Melon Seed Decoction): Donggua Ziren (Winter Melon Seed) 25g, Taoren (Peach Kernel) 15g, Danpi (Moutan Root) 10g, Jiegeng (Platycodon Root) 10g, Gancao (Licorice) 10g. Decoction in water, take in two doses daily. Effect: Clears the lungs, transforms phlegm, promotes dampness and pus discharge, invigorates blood circulation. Indications: Lung abscess, lung pus accumulation.
2. Weijing Decoction (Reed Stem Decoction): Lugen (Reed Root) 50g, Yiyiren (Job’s Tears) 20g, Taoren (Peach Kernel) 15g, Dongguaren (Winter Melon Seed) 20g. Decoction in water, take in two doses daily. Effect: Clears heat, invigorates blood, transforms stasis and discharges pus. Indications: Lung abscess, lung pus accumulation.
3. Yiyiren Baihe Decoction (Job’s Tears and Lily Decoction): Yiyiren (Job’s Tears) 200g, Baihe (Lily Bulb) 50g. Decoction in water, take in two doses daily. 4. Xiakucao Shiliuhua Decoction (Selfheal and Pomegranate Flower Decoction): Baishiliuhua (White Pomegranate Flower) 50g, Xiakucao (Selfheal) 50g. Simultaneously decoct Baishiliuhua and Xiakucao, add a little yellow wine when taking. Effect: Clears liver fire, disperses stasis, reduces inflammation, and transforms pus. 5. Chencu Dazao Drink (Aged Vinegar and Garlic Drink): Aged vinegar and garlic in appropriate amounts. Soak garlic cloves in high-quality aged vinegar. Tuberculosis
1. Baiguo Xiakucao Decoction (Ginkgo and Selfheal Decoction): Baiguo (Ginkgo Nut) 12g, Baimao Xiakucao (White Hair Selfheal) 30g. Crush Baiguo, decoct with Xiakucao, take one dose daily, divided into morning and evening. Effect: Warms the lungs and benefits qi. Indications: Tuberculosis.
2. Fresh Broad Bean Pod Decoction: Fresh broad bean pods 250g. Decoction in water, take once daily. Effect: Clears heat and stops bleeding. Indications: Tuberculosis with hemoptysis.

Decoction in water, take the first formula before bed and the second formula the next morning. Effect: Nourishes yin, clears the lungs, transforms phlegm, and stops cough. Headache
1. 2. Gouxie Decoction (Scorpion Decoction): Sheng Shijue Ming (Raw Stone Calamus) 30g, Gouteng (Uncaria) 12g, Quanshen (Whole Scorpion) 10g, Xixin (Asarum) 4.5g, Chuanxiong (Sichuan Lovage) 9g, Baizhi (Angelica Dahurica) 4.5g. Decoction in water, take one dose daily, divided into morning and evening. Effect: Calms the liver, subdues yang, regulates qi, and relieves pain. Indications: Vascular headache, liver yang hyperactivity headache.
3. Sanma Chuanxiong Decoction (Three Hemp and Sichuan Lovage Decoction): Tianma (Gastrodia) 9g, Shengma (Cimicifuga) 9g, Mahuang (Ephedra) 9g, Chuanxiong (Sichuan Lovage) 12g. 5. Voice Loss
1. Qingyin Decoction (Clear Voice Decoction): Yuhudie (Butterfly Orchid) 10g, Shihu (Dendrobium) 15g, Jiegeng (Platycodon Root) 10g, Chanyi (Cicada Slough) 10g, Bohe (Mint) 10g, Changpu (Acorus) 10g, Maidong (Ophiopogon) 10g, Xuan Shen (Scrophularia) 10g. Decoction in water, take one dose daily. Effect: Nourishes yin, detoxifies, and benefits the throat. Indications: Voice loss due to wind-heat.
