Therapeutic Effects of TCM
1. Support Yang and Boost Vitality
Fire needle therapy has a warming effect, which belongs to Yang. Yang is used for treatment; fire needle therapy can assist Yang with fire, treating various cold syndromes caused by Yang deficiency.
Vitiligo
2. Warm and Unblock Meridians
Fire needle therapy warms the body, unblocks the meridians, and stimulates the circulation of Qi and blood. “Where there is flow, there is no pain,” making it effective for various pain syndromes. It also has the functions of relieving spasms, eliminating numbness, and stopping itching.
Plantar Warts
3. Draw Heat and Expel Pathogens
Fire needle therapy has the ability to support the body and expel pathogens. After the needle is withdrawn, the puncture site does not close quickly, allowing wind and tangible pathogens to be expelled from the body through the hole, a process referred to as “opening the door to expel pathogens.” Fire needle therapy is particularly effective against heat toxins, as “heat diseases are resolved by fire, just as extreme heat turns to coolness, which is the meaning of fire being released.” This also confirms the ancient theory of “using heat to draw out heat.”
Acne
4. Remove Necrotic Tissue, Drain Pus, Promote Tissue Regeneration
Removing necrotic tissue and draining pus is the primary application of fire needle therapy in folk medicine. It is simple to perform, thoroughly drains pus, and facilitates healing of the wound. Because fire needle therapy can warm and unblock the meridians, promote Qi and blood circulation, the stagnant Qi and blood around the wound can flow and dissipate, increasing the nutrition around the lesion, thus promoting tissue regeneration and accelerating wound healing.
